Lots of locals right now are looking for a place to call home. Here's our best advice to help secure one.
What Deb says
Ensure that your application documents are up to date and ready to go at all times. If you haven't already, log on to the tenant app, create a profile and have it ready to go. In this profile it will include information about ID documents, where you're currently living, where you've previously lived, and where you're working at the moment. And make sure all supporting documents are in there, and that your references are aware that you are in the process of applying for a home.
Once you've seen a home you like on realestate.com, don't delay — send an enquiry straight away. We as a company allow you to apply for this property prior to viewing it, so we can be on the ball and have your application processed before you even walk in the door. This can save delays.
Lara is our leasing consultant. This is her dedicated job, and she will make sure once your application is received she will check it and ensure there's no missing information. If there is, expect a call from Lara who will reach out and grab any information she needs.
My biggest advice right now is to include a bio about yourself and your family, making sure that the owner knows why you love their home and why it suits you to live there.
